⏰ Attendance Matters
At Cottesbrooke Infant & Nursery School, we know that good attendance gives children the best chance to succeed — both now and in the future.
We want every child to enjoy their learning, build strong friendships and feel part of the school community. That’s why we work closely with families to help ensure children are in school every day they can be.
🧠 Why Attendance Is So Important
Even in the early years, every day counts. Missing just a few days can:

Disrupt your child’s learning and confidence

Make it harder for them to keep up with routines and friendships

Affect their long-term achievement
We understand that children get ill from time to time — and of course, if your child is unwell, they should stay at home to rest and recover. But we ask that all non-essential absences are kept to a minimum, and that holidays are not taken during term time.

We’re here to support you. If you're finding it hard to get your child into school — for any reason — please speak to us. Often, we can help before it becomes a bigger problem.
