At Cottesbrooke, all children from Reception to Year 2 take part in weekly PE lessons, developing physical skills, coordination, teamwork and a love of being active.
To make things easier for families and staff, we ask that children come to school already dressed in their PE kit on their PE day.
Children should wear:
A plain white T-shirt
Black or navy shorts, black leggings, or black/grey tracksuit bottoms
Their red school jumper or cardigan (optional, for warmth)
Black PE pumps (not trainers)
Please avoid jeans, designer sportswear or fashion items, and ensure headscarves are removed for safety.
Black PE pumps should be worn on PE days
Named pumps in a named bag may be left in school for additional PE sessions or activities
To keep everyone safe during physical activity:
No jewellery, including earrings
Long hair should be tied back
In addition to PE lessons, classes are encouraged to take part in the Daily Mile as often as possible. This is a simple, fun way for children to run, jog or walk one mile around the playground โ usually done in their regular school uniform.
