Welcome! Here you'll find everything you need to know about applying for a place at Cottesbrooke Infant & Nursery School.
Whether you're applying for Nursery, Reception, or an in-year transfer, we’re here to help and happy to answer any questions.
🧸 Nursery Admissions (Age 3+)
We manage our own admissions for Nursery.
To apply for a Nursery place:

Collect a form in person or download it here

Bring your child’s birth certificate or passport and proof of address
We offer both part-time and full-time places, depending on availability.
🏫 Reception Admissions (Age 4+)
Reception admissions are managed by Birmingham City Council.
If your child is due to start school in the September after their 4th birthday, you need to apply through the council. Applications must be submitted from 1st October 2025, the closing date is at 11:59pm on 15th January 2026. Applications received after this date will be classed as 'late' and will be processed after national offer day which is on 16th April 2026.

🔄 In-Year Admissions
If you are applying for a place mid-year (1 September to 31th August) or your child is transferring from another school (at any time other than the start of Reception), the application is managed directly by us. Please contact the school office and collect an aplication form to proceed.
