Transition
Our school has various transition points; starting school in Reception or Nursery, moving from Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 1 and transferring from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 (in another school). The vast majority of our Year 2 children move to Year 3 at Cedars Academy. Cedars Academy take Cottesbrooke children as a priority but this transfer is not automatic, parents and carers have to fill in a transfer application online.

Our oldest children are 7. Following their time at Cottesbrooke Infant & Nursery School, most of our Year 2 children transfer to Cedars Academy to continue their education. Cedars Academy is a separate school with a different Head Teacher and governing body, although the schools work together to ensure a good transition between the two schools.
