At Cottesbrooke Infant & Nursery School, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do.

We adapt this model to reflect our own systems and procedures at Cottesbrooke, where we take a trauma-informed, relational approach to safeguarding. This policy works alongside others that support children’s safety and wellbeing, including our:
All staff receive regular, high-quality safeguarding training. If anyone has a concern about a child, they report it immediately to our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or one of our Deputy DSLs.
We also work closely with families and external agencies to ensure every child receives the right support, at the right time.
