πŸπŸ¦‹πŸ¦ŸWelcome to Nursery!

Hello and a very warm welcome to Nursery at Cottesbrooke!

In Nursery, we know that children learn best when they feel happy, safe and interested in the world around them. That’s why we follow the children’s interests and build learning experiences through play, exploration and meaningful relationships.

🧠 How We Learn

Each day includes a short teaching session focused on key areas of learning such as:

  • Communication and Language

  • Mathematics

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development

We also enjoy:

  • Singing our Nursery Rhyme of the Week

  • Practising our focus number, shape or sound

  • Sharing stories

  • Taking part in daily gross motor movement to music

The rest of the session is filled with purposeful indoor and outdoor play, supported by caring adults who extend learning through conversations, questions and shared discovery.

Children also have the chance to take part in individual and small group learning activities, based on their needs and interests.

πŸ‘• Please Name Everything!

As the weather gets warmer and layers come off, it can be tricky to keep track of cardigans and jumpers.
Please make sure all items of clothing are clearly labelled β€” it really helps us return lost items to the right child quickly.

Below you’ll find all the key information about our Nursery provision, including:
